The United Methodist Social Principles

As we enter the sacred season of Lent in 2025, our congregation embarks on a transformative journey through the United Methodist Social Principles. This five-part sermon series, spanning the first five Sundays of Lent, invites us to explore the intersection of our faith and its practical application in the world around us. Our exploration will take us through the newly adopted Social Principles, effective as of January 1, 2025. We’ll begin with an introduction to these principles and their significance in our faith journey. From there, we’ll delve into four key areas: the Community of All Creation, addressing our role as stewards of God’s earth; the Economic Community, examining issues of justice and responsible stewardship; the Social Community, focusing on human dignity and equality;

Advent 2024 Bible Study:

The Weary World Rejoices

This year, we invite you to embrace the Advent and Christmas season as it is—imperfect, beautiful, and real.

The season of Advent is upon us—a season that invites us into the tension of ‘already’ and ‘not yet,’ where we hold the fragile hope that everything broken will be made whole, that every sorrow will be met with joy, and that every deep longing will be filled with love. It’s about finding a way to sit with the messiness of life while still holding on to the promise of what’s to come.

You can download a month-long devotional booklet here. It is 96 pages long, so strongly recommended to use on your tablet, phone, or other device. (We may make printed copies available if there is a demand for it.)

We will have two opportunities for small group study and discussion. They are still being finalized but look like they will probably be Tuesday at 7pm and Wednesday at noon, both meeting at the church. The Tuesday group will have a zoom link available for those preferring to participate remotely. Please email Pastor Michael with any questions.

We would like to Thank all the people who participated in this wonderful festival. We want to share with you some pictures from that day! Special Thanks to Shannon Cobb, who was an excellent photographer around that day.
