United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know GOD, and to experience freedom

as whole persons through JESUS CHRIST; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission

through participation in the global ministries of the church.

 

Our church’s United Methodist Women group is part of a national organization that is currently 800,000 women strong. 

Quarterly meetings and activities are open to all women. The Spring and Fall meetings feature speakers or special programming.  The Winter and Summer meetings focus on fellowship.

 

The United Methodist Women prepare and lead the annual Children’s Sabbath Worship Service – sponsored by The

Children’s Defense Fund.  They hold a Mother’s Day Bake Sale and a Geranium Sale for Memorial Day. 

Their activities support the mission of The United Methodist Church of Danbury.
